Mission Statement

To assist in the recovery and growth of people with mental illnesses, emotional disturbances, and substance abuse problems. This is accomplished by providing employment in a cooperative and caring environment where peer support takes a major role in the therapeutic process.

Purpose of Grant

To help launch Twig Products Enterprise, a venture that will manufacture and sell a wide variety of hand-made wood products.

Additional Information

The Wyman Way Co-op strives to be a member run and owned organization. The work opportunities provided by Wyman Way are mostly determined by the interests and abilities of its members and by the General Manager. At the present time these include: grounds keeping; cleaning; painting; general maintenance and repair; twig furniture making; moving; transportation; administration of Wyman Way; and a variety of other odd jobs.

Wyman Way employs about 25 people, most of whom are part-time. As members grow and heal they may move on or may rise in their level of responsibility. Members are stimulated and challenged to promote recovery.
