Mission Statement

To make it possible, through advocacy and technical support, for all youth to participate in positive, safe out-of-school time programs and experiences.

Purpose of Grant

To fund a feasibility study to determine the viability of creating a consulting service to other cities and states that would bring in significant revenue to support their on-going programs.

Additional Information

PlusTime NH was established a decade ago with a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services in response to the increasing problem of unsupervised youth and the limited resources available for communities to start out-of-school time programs. By providing direct support, training, information, and funding assistance, PlusTime NH is able to help communities throughout the state identify the needs of youth and mobilize local resources to develop and sustain appropriate out-of-school time programs. PlusTime NH also supports existing youth programs through training, consultation, and funding.

The White House, The U.S. Departments of Education, Justice, Health and Human Services, The Corporation for National Service, National Governors Association, The National Institute of Out-of-School Time at Wellesley College, and the David & Lucile Packard Foundation have distinguished PlusTime NH as a national model for the development of out-of-school time programs.
