Additional Information
New Hampshire Aquaculture Association specializes in the research and harvest of New England's own brown bullhead, the horned pout.
But that's not all that swims in their ponds...
Also available are trout, large mouth bass, blue gills, sunfish, crayfish, shiners and more. They even support a wonderful population of frogs, dragonflies, and other aquatic life necessary for a healthy pond environment.
In addition, the NHAA provides workshops, aquaculture information, and consulting services throughout the year. Pond tours are offered during the warmer months of June, July, August, and September when the fish are active. This provides a great educational opportunity for schools, clubs, and other organizations interested in small unit fish farming, sustainable aquaculture, and the important role fish play as both a food source and an environmental enhancer.
