Crossroads Rhode Island assists the homeless and the disconnected as they journey toward a better quality of life. They do this by providing essential life services, referrals, and advocacy.

Purpose of Grant

To purchase a new, 4-color, Production Printer to support the general expansion of the The Copy Center at CrossroadsRI.

The Copy Center at Crossroads, LLC is a full-service printing and digital imaging business, as good as just about any other print shop you care to name. But the Copy Center at Crossroads is also like virtually no other print shop you've come across.

What makes The Copy Center special is that while they are a 100% for-profit company, they are also part of Crossroads Rhode Island, the region's leading agency assisting the homeless and disconnected as they journey toward a better quality of life.

The Copy Center at Crossroads is part of this effort. Managed by staff that has decades of experience in the commercial print business, The Copy Center's workforce is comprised of student trainees in their vocational services program. This helps keep their costs low so they are able to offer high quality products at very competitive prices. Moreover, orders to The Copy Center at Crossroads are fulfilled by a homeless person who is learning the marketable skills needed to obtain productive employment at a sustainable wage – an important step on the journey to self-sufficiency!
