Mission Statement

To provide meaningful employment to adults with developmental disabilities so that they may further their independence, increase their self-worth and self-determination, and become productive members of our community. 

Purpose of Grant

To improve the layout of their production line to increase capacity in order to employ more disabled workers in their mill.

Additional Information

Maine Trellis Company is part of the Green Valley Association.

In 1967, a group of parents intent on providing education to their children with developmental disabilities formed Green Valley Association.  They are still a small, private non-profit organization governed by a board of directors drawn from local community members who are interested in people with disabilities and their services.  They provide comprehensive supports for adults with developmental disabilities and in-home supports to children that have developmental and behavioral health disabilities.
