2005 (December) Roundtables: Strategic Planning

Great Bay hosted a small roundtable discussion for grantees at the Wentworth Hotel on December 1st, the day before our annual conference. The topic was “Strategic Planning” and, under this umbrella concept, we reviewed information garnered from our previous roundtable topics such as: "Scale – go deeper or broader?" "Boards – development and management?" "Create a for-profit subsidiary – yes or no?" "Pricing – charity or what the market will bear?"

Grantees had gained valuable insights at roundtable discussions throughout the year and as they tested the hypotheses learned within their organizations. This was an opportunity for grantees to summarize their practices to date and to determine if there is a need for more in-depth roundtables on any aspect of strategic planning - and/or other topics they might wish to cover in the future.
