This paper challenges the view that organizations can either create economic value or social value, but not both. Authors Emerson and Bonini present the "Blended Value Proposition," which states that all organizations create value that consists of economic, social and environment value components. They argue that "investors simultaneously generate all three forms of value through providing capital to organizations."
