Great Bay Foundation Grant Analyst Travis Cummings presents the results of research he conducted on social entrepreneurship and social enterprise in Maine's nonprofit sector. He discusses the conditions of social enterprise, as well as the characteristics of six Maine-based social entrepreneurs. He concludes by offering some recommendations for grantmakers, nonprofit leaders, policy makers, community members, and the academic community.
