Mission Statement

To rebuild the infrastructure for local commerce, local producers and artisans in Southwestern, rural, New Hampshire,  by providing a true marketplace where buyers and sellers come together.  It is Hannah Grimes' goal for other communities to be inspired and empowered to replicate its success.

Purpose of Grant

Great Bay's grant provided funds (through the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund) to Hannah Grimes to help it obtain a point of sale system, to stock inventory to increase operations to the break even point, and to provide support and training to its members.

Additional Information

The Hannah Grimes Marketplace is a small store on the main street of Keene, New Hampshire that sells products produced by groups of local artisans who have developed and produced their crafts. The Marketplace stocks everything from knitted woolens, furniture, and pottery to maple syrup.

In addition to being a storefront, or distribution point for these products, the Marketplace provides support and training to the artisans to help them develop and market their products.
